Industry Trends and How to Grow Strategic Perspective: Cathy Nestrick, VP Women’s Leadership and DEI, American Bankers Association

Strategy is a skill where women are perceived to be behind men. In this session, Cathy will lead us as we discuss how women are excelling in banking, especially in leadership roles. Examples of different banks whose strategies really paid off will be shared, and we will have discussion questions for participants to practice what they’ve learned about strategic thinking.

Network Is Not a Verb: Ellen Poole

Achieving career success in today’s highly competitive world requires more than strong skills and hard work. Ellen will tell us why ‘network Is not a verb’ and provide a road map to creating a rewarding network of colleagues and friends who will help and support you throughout your lifetime professional journey.

In her keynote, she will provide clear, actionable ‘Tactical Tips’ that anyone can use to become a desired connection for others. Instead of spending time networking, you will discover approaches to use in everyday life to develop and maintain enriching new relationships and learn how to avoid common missteps that could unwittingly alienate your new connections. Extrovert or introvert, account manager or accountant―Ellen Poole’s guidance will work for you whatever your personality or profession.
